Pros and Cons of Sensors
Touch Sensor- Pro- axle hole in sensor area can be used to create own bumper
Con- Object must touch sensor's red part, sensor area is small
Color Sensor- Pro- detects color, line following, ambient light avoidance
Con- reliable only at close range
con-detects light colors as white, light blue is white
Gyro Sensor- Pro- Accurate for turning, measures robot turning
Con- robot must be still when gyro sensor is plugged
con - can be touchy and unreliable at times
Infrared Sensor- Pro- Find beacon and remote receiver, accurate proximity measurement
Con- not allowed in FLL, measurement not in in or cm
Ultrasonic Sensor- Pro- Distance measurement is very accurate, wall following, measured in in and cm
Con- other ultrasonic "noise" can interfere with sensor
