EV3 Programming Tips
MOTOR
The motors are very important without them you cant go forward, use them for tools, and turning. There are four ways of turning
with the ev3 that is using gyro (see sensors), turning 1 wheel a certain amount of degrees, pivoting (turning 1 wheel forward and 1 wheel backwards), and using a b+c motor block and changing the arrow which way you want to go.
The pair of Large Motors is designed to be used to drive the robot. They are slower but stronger than the Medium Motor.
The Medium Motor is designed to be used with attachments. It is faster but weaker than the Large Motors.
SENSOR
GYRO- If you run the program and the robot starts spinning or doesn't turn, reset the gyro sensor by unplugging it and then plugging it in. Make sure the robot is completely still while doing this.
For pros and cons- view the pros and cons of sensors page.
